Jared was recording his tutorial videos through Loom and Zoom. He needed an intro to be designed and added to the beginning and the ending of each video. He mentioned that for the video content he won’t need any motion design and that I should just capture his screen. He also mentioned that he’d like to have subtitles added to each video. He sent me his branding guideline as well as some testimonial videos to edit. That’s all I needed!
Work Process
Wave! Well, that was the hint for me to focus on designing the intro. So I animated a single wave, appearing and turning into the logo in addition to some sound effects that made the movements perfect. That was surely exhilirating for me! I also motion designed a second intro for another branch of Wave commerce!
The tutorial videos needed a bit more work, like cutting out pauses, removing errors and repetitions, general improvements of colors and audio. Eventually, removed the extra parts of the recorded screen to have the content focused right in the middle of the screen with no distraction.
For the final step, I used Sonix to transcribe the videos and turned them into subtitles.
The process was quite time taking, yet the result came out real nice!
