Dataquest – Educational Videos & Webinars – Video Editor & Motion Designer

Started in December 2021, Dataquest projects have been a combination of video editing and small motion designs that are done weekly. Vikas, founder of Dataquest, mostly needed the meetings, webinars and tutorial videos to be cleaned up and smoothened. These projects include series of enhancements, like color grading, audio fixes, video scope setup, removing errors and extras, title/transition/intro designs and more. Below I’ll show one example.

While I received the branding guidelines initially, I’ve been receiving raw videos like webinars recorded on Zoom or tutorials on OBS on a weekly basis. Dataquest always provides the details of the edits including the general cuts, the time of the intro, outro, etc. that they need and the creativity is for smoothening the video. I should say, there are many many many cuts done in a 30-60 minute video and it can get quite complicated.

The main part of these videos are cleaning up. It doesn’t mean the video has many errors. They are actually very nicely recorded. Yet, when there’s a webinar with several speakers, that means I need to clean up several videos, smoothen the audio for several microphones, color grade several cameras and it’s just something that takes effort. That said, this is my absolute favorite project among all the weekly projects I do. The team is fabulous, cooperative, understanding and all in all just great.
