Wiley had a new program and several members of their team had attended. They had recorded the attending staff and interviewed them for 5-7 minutes with specific questions. They also recorded parts of the program in action as B-rolls. Apoorva, Vice President, Innovation at Wiley, wanted me to use those videos and get a professional MOV to quickly introduce the program and invite others to join!
After sending the files (8 in total — over 50 minutes of recording), Apoorva sent me the branding guideline and requested the video to be short and direct to the point. It was up to me to pick the best parts and use them. He also requested to only show the logo in the beginning and jump into the content.
After watching all the recordings and picking the best parts, I created clips of each person speaking as well as their recordings in the B-rolls. Started the video by showing the logo and the background music rolling. Then I added the clips, added jump cuts, switched constantly from B-rolls to A-roll and made a story out of the recordings. Eventually I animated their names in, improved the audio and color graded the video. I was and still am very excited about the final result of this video!
